Some time ago, we developed a robust, Flash-based, graphics composite engine that served us well over the years. We have used in a number of very visible projects including the Majini Makeover Facebook application we deployed on Facebook as part of the Capcom Resident Evil 5 release. This unique application allows Facebook users to use a picture from their photo album and add Resident Evil “Majini” elements to turn themselves into into a “Majini” ("Majini" is the name given to the infected in RE5).

The application featured a multiple graphic libraries of elements that included eyeballs, decay and moles. Users could also resize, rotate and paint or spray paint on their creations. The application also allowed users to tag themselves and their friends from directly with the editor. Once done, users could publish and share their creations on Facebook.

The application also featured a gallery of user generated content and as is the case with some of our other photo application, the “Majini Makeover” gallery came with a broad range of admin features that allowed admins to quickly delete inappropriate photos and block users (repeat offenders).
