We do a lot of album reveals, most of them like-gated or share-gated. This one for Tooth and Nail band Demon Hunter is unique in that it uses an email and mobile subscription-gate as part of the album reveal process. The idea is to use the album reveal to collect both email addresses and mobile phone numbers to build a beachhead to a successful album release. This Facebook application (located at: http://meta2.us/fb-hunt) uses our phone application infrastructure to collect mobile phone numbers and emails.

We create an incentive for fans to enter both their email and mobile phone numbers by telling them that on Feb. 11 they will be among the first to hear from the band's lead singer and preview the new album. On Feb. 11, we will send a message out using our telephony platform, asking fans to call a number (832-742-HUNT) to hear the message and listen to the ablum; as well as a text fans a link to purchase the album on iTunes.
